On August 14, 2018, Ellwood William Anthony Gottleib, 97, of Glen Burnie, MD, beloved husband of Catherine E (Lubbehusen Lynch) Gottleib and the late Mary C. (Marino) Gottleib, passed away peacefully at Hospice of the Chesapeake in Pasadena, MD. Born in Baltimore on April 16, 1921, he was the son of the late John J. Gottleib and Mary W. (Oppel) Gottleib. He was also predeceased by nine siblings and a granddaughter. He is survived by his children, Mr. Ellwood M. Gottleib, Mr. John J. Gottleib, and Mrs. Mary E. Scheufele, as well as five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Relatives and friends may call at Ambrose Funeral home, 1328 Sulphur Spring Rd., Arbutus, on Friday, August 17 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Requiem Mass will be offered at St. Philip Neri Parish, Orchard Road, Linthicum, on Saturday, August 18 at 10 a.m. Interment in Meadowridge Memorial Park, Elkridge.
