Dorothy Widerman

Dorothy “Oddee” Widerman went to heaven on December 31, 2022. Dot was the beloved daughter of the late Helmer and Mary Olson, loving wife of the late Charles James and George Widerman, cherished sister of Marylou Stewart and Janyce Little, caring aunt to so many nieces and nephews. Dot is predeceased by her three brothers, Royce Olson, Alfred Olson and Melvin Olson.

In 98 years, Dot lived to see so many things. She loved good music and never said no to a dance. She was always up for adventure, from Hawaii to Germany and so many more places. Going to lunch with all of her friends was always a thrill for her. In her younger days, Dot was a excellent seamstress making clothes for herself, sister and nieces. Dot was an excellent cook and baker. If you didn’t feel well, her chicken soup and egg custard could make it all better. Her laugh was contagious and she loved fiercely. She surely will be missed but the knowledge of the greetings and sweet hugs she is having in heaven continues to give us hope that we will see her again.
