Doris Jung

On July 5, 2014 DORIS R. JUNG died in Florida. She was 88 years old. Doris was born in Baltimore, Maryland, one of 8 children of Frederick and Mary Jung. She survived her deceased brothers and sisters: Rob, Bill, Lefty and "Boots" Jung, "Sis" Jung, Ruth Cipolla and Helen Wentz. Surviving Doris are her nieces and nephew: Linda (Alfred) Cuzan, William (June) Jung, Sandra Langley, R. Lois Smith, and their loving families. Raised Episcopalian, she lived in Baltimore for most of her life keeping close to family and old friends. Doris and her family had lived for over 68 years in the same house near Gwynns Falls Park.

She worked for Maury Donnelly & Parr in downtown Baltimore for over 50 years in their finance department. She with her niece and nephew, Sandra and JW Langley, moved to Riverview Florida in 2008 and had snowbirded there for four years previous to that. She enjoyed watching the Wheel of Fortune and playing cards and the lottery. Her eyes would light up at the sight of children. She loved visits, pictures and phone calls from the children in the family.

Doris was a woman of common sense and dignity with a realistic attitude toward life and death. She suffered the rigors of old age with fortitude. Doris's family expresses their gratitude to her wonderful companion in Florida for many years Maher.
