DORIS E. JOHNSTON was born on October 16, 1945 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Raymond Daniel and Doris Viola Chrystal. Doris passed away peacefully on September 27, 2014 in Hanover, Maryland surrounded by her loving family. She is the beloved wife of Richard E. Johnston; loving mother of Kimberly DeBoy and her husband Joe, and Melissa Townsend; cherished grandmother of Kara, Erika, Tyler and Emaleigh; dear sister of Rae Gauldin and Bonnie Batchellor. Also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
Family members and friends may call at the family owned and operated AMBROSE FUNERAL HOME OF LANSDOWNE, 2719 Hammonds Ferry Rd., Lansdowne, Maryland 21227 where a public viewing will be on Friday, October 3, 2014 from 3-5PM and 7-9PM . A funeral service and celebration of Doris's life will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2014 beginning at 1:30PM. Interment will be private. At the family's request donations in Doris's memory may be directed to the Gilchrist Hospice Care Center , 555 West Towsontown Boulevard, Towson, Maryland 21204.
