Donald O. Warthen

July 17, 1938 — November 4, 2024

Baltimore

It is with heartfelt sadness that we report the passing of Donald "Donnie" Warthen on November 4, 2024. Donnie, born on July 17, 1938, was a man of compassion, strength, and unwavering spirit. His vibrant personality and contagious laughter made a lasting impression on everyone he met. Donnie was predeceased by his loving wife Joyce (McCarthy) and his oldest son, Donald Owings Warthen, Jr. Donnie will always be remembered as a loving father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and an unforgettable man in the many lives he touched. He is survived by his daughter, Karen, his son, Daniel, his brother Robert, his sister, Judy, four grandchildren, Chad, Taylor, Cole and Wren as well as a great granddaughter Kara; and his niece Jennifer who will continue to uphold his memory and share his story. We mourn this profound loss, and we celebrate Donnie's life well-lived. May his journey beyond be as remarkable as the life he lived among us.

Family members and friends will gather on Thursday from 3-5 & 7-9PM in our Arbutus location.  A funeral service will take place of Friday at 1pm at the former Violetville United Methodist Church building on Coolidge Avenue in Baltimore, MD.  Interment will immediately follow in the Loudon Park Cemetery.
