Donald Swanner, Sr.

Donald Mark Swanner Sr., age 68, passed away on Sunday, 28 April 2024 in Baltimore, Maryland. A native of Dundalk, Maryland, Don was born on 4 April 1956 to Dorothy Yvonne and William Madison Swanner Sr. He was a middle child of seven which includes his brothers Billy, Chucky, Teddy, Freddy, Dickie, and his sister, Lyn.

In his youth, Don served as a noncommissioned officer, logistics specialist, in the United States Marine Corps before assuming a career as a training engineer along the East Coast for Sweetheart Cup, which later merged with Solo Cup and is now owned by Dart Container.

Don loved playing pool, golf, and collecting baseball cards. He is the father of Lisa Marie Leishear and Donald Mark Swanner Jr. He is survived by his children and grandchildren, his brothers, Billy, Freddy, Dickie, and his sister, Lyn.

Despite living a hard life, his heart was softened by the unfailing love of his family and friends, which, in the end, allowed him to transition peacefully with the hope of a life that is still to come.
