Donald Lee Maxson “Max”, born June 19, 1934 in Salem, West Virginia. He married the late Ina Ruth (Major) Maxson January 12, 1953 and he was the son of the late Virgil Alpha Maxson & Evelyn (Smith) Maxson; also preceded in death by his daughter Wanda Lou Maxson & Great-Granddaughter Alexandria Levering, and his beloved dog Fluffy. Max is loving survived by his children: Carol (Wayne) Antonis, Linda Fischer, Brenda (Don) Brown, Debra (Paul) Kramp, Dale (Lisa) Maxson, & Betty (Joey) Tregunna; dear brother of Charles Maxson (Cheri) & Gerald Maxson (Marianne); cherished grandfather of 15 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Also survived by many loving friends and relatives. He was a family man through and through. He loved watching his grandchildren play sports, going camping with everyone and whipping them up a nice egg omelet which surely will be missed. Max loved to eat. He always wanted his desserts in large quantities, especially his ice cream. Wherever there was family gathering, there was Max. A life well lived and loved; he will always be remembered and his memory deeply treasured.
Family members and friends will gather in the Lansdowne location on Thursday from 1-3 & 5-8PM where a funeral service will be held on Friday at 11:30AM. Interment will immediately follow in the Meadowridge Memorial Park.
