Donald Knowles

On February 15th, 2022, Donald W. Knowles passed away. Born on October 14th, 1936 to the late Marguerite and late Nelson Knowles, he was a loving and caring person, although strict and stubborn, who a lot of people looked up to. Donald was also known as a jokester. He loved hunting and fishing and belonged to the Big Buck Rod and Gun club.

He was the loving husband of just shy of 68 years to Audrey Knowles; devoted father of Fran Ring and husband Monte, Libby Lynn and late husband James, Donna Wahl and husband Shawn, Nancy Hoffman, the late Barbara Wahl, Mike Knowles, Dennis Knowles and wife Monica, Steve Knowles, Sandy Haasen; cherished grandfather of nineteen grandchildren and thirty-two great grandchildren; dear brother of Jeanette Freud and late husband Jerry, Sandra Mewshaw and late husband Ron. Donald is also survived by many loving extended family and friends.

A public viewing will be held at the family owned Ambrose Funeral Home, Inc., 1328 Sulphur Spring Rd., Arbutus on Wednesday, February 23rd from 3 PM to 5 PM and from 7 PM to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Church of the Ascension, 4603 Poplar Ave., Halethorpe on Thursday, February 24th at 10 AM. Interment will immediately follow at Loudon Park Cemtery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Donald's name to either St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Catholic Community of Ascension and St Augustine.
