Dc Carlson

January 5, 1970 — September 18, 2019

On Wednesday, September 18, DC Carlson, 49 years old, died unexpectedly in Baltimore, MD, to join his mom, Honey Carlson, with the Lord. He was born on January 5, 1970 in Fort Lee, VA. He graduated from Strayer University with a Bachelors in Business Administration. He was originally from Dinwiddie County, VA.

He left behind his three children: daughter, Tessa Villanova, 22, and her husband, Matt Villanova and 2 grandchildren: Noah Carlson and Kazlee Villanova; sons Jacob Carlson, 19; and Seth Carlson, 10. He is survived by his father, William B. Carlson, and his three younger sisters; Khaly Akhtar, Emmy Martin, and Billie Roark.

The family also recognizes his devoted fiancée, Brandy Montgomery, and her three children, Stephen, 26; Zechariah, 21; and Gabriel, 19. Brandy became an influential figure in his life the past four years, prompting his move to the Baltimore area to share a new life with her.  DC and Brandy attended services at TrinityLife and attending their Christmas concerts was becoming a tradition of their life together.

He was uncle to several nephews Colby Roark, Zachary Martin, Duncan Arrington, Justin Carlson, Tiernan and Nevan Roark and two nieces Sarah and Ameerah Akhtar. He is missed by his two cats Shadow, in Baltimore, Maryland and Kitten, in Virginia.

DC was an introvert but to those who knew him, they found a good, goofy, stubborn, and more importantly, faith driven soul. He was the most kindhearted man who spoke and acted with good intentions, avoiding inflicting harm nor pain upon others he encountered. He used to always tell his daughter, “I love you with all my heart, daughter.” She knew she would always be ‘Daddy’s Little Girl’. He was a strong father figure to his sons, hoping to teach them to always move forward and trust the Lord when life gets harder. He never gave up.
