David Pope
August 20, 1932 — July 24, 2017
David J. Pope, age 84, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2017. He is the beloved husband of 63 years to Vivian (nee Sanders); devoted father of Carl D. Pope and his wife Georgia, Cheryl Shannon and her husband Brian, Irene Pope, Karen Serio and her husband Samuel, and David N. Pope; loving grandfather of 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
David was a graduate of Catonsville High School Class of 1949. He later served as a Master Chief USN, Retired and had a civilian career in the Westinghouse Corporation as a tool and die maker.
A viewing will be held at Ambrose Funeral Home, 1328 Sulphur Spring Rd., Arbutus, MD 21227 on Thursday from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 11am followed by burial at Meadowridge Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in David’s memory to Alzheimer's Association, 1850 York Road Suite D, Timonium, Maryland 21093-5142.
