David Mertes

David Joseph Mertes, age 75, passed away suddenly on January 18, 2018. Born on May 7, 1942 to the late Joseph and Lucille Mertes. David retired after 22 years in the Maryland National Guard as a captain. In his pastime he loved gardening and photography. David was also a member of AA for 36 years.

David is the beloved husband of Mary Linda Mertes; devoted father of Mary Colleen Donlin and her husband Brian and Lisa Bell Roden; dear brother of the late Robert and Rose Mertes; loving uncle of Teresa Mertes-Huber and her husband Frank and Robert Mertes, Jr.; great uncle of Elliott T. Huber.
