Charles White, Sr.

Charles R White Sr, a US Army Veteran, passed away peacefully On September 1, 2020.

Charles was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.  He spent his time actively volunteering throughout the Arbutus community. He served nearly two decades as the president of the Arbutus Girls Athletic Association providing enjoyment for hundreds of youth through his leadership of athletics and recreational activities.  “Mr. Charlie” is fondly remembered throughout the Arbutus Community by many as a coach, role model, and mentor.

He also enjoyed spending his time fishing and crabbing with his son and daughters and hunting with his son-in-law.

Mr. White was preceded in death by Randall White Sr(father), Ella White (mother), Randall White Jr (brother), William White (brother), Betty White (wife), and Carole White (wife).

Mr. White is survived by his son Charles White Jr, his daughter Dolores Ellis and son-in-law Donald Ellis, and daughter Jessica White.

Mr. White is also the grandfather to Virginia Askew. Anna White, Samantha White, Victoria Purper, and Rodney Purper and 5 additional great grandchildren.

A private service will be held at the Baltimore National Cemetery.
