Catherine E. Carney

Catherine E. Carney, age 63, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully on January 19, 2024. She is the beloved partner of Challis Ireland; devoted and cherished mother of William C. Gilliam, Jr. and the late Ruby Carol Gilliam and bonus kids Wayne Cook, Curtis Ireland, Joey Ireland, George Ireland, and Melinda Ireland; dear grandmother to Kimmy, Dameon, Nova, Ryan, Jazzy, Jade, Ary, Shyann, Kane, Jase, Ryker, and Kansas; great grandmother of Briaylynn, Maizelee, and Sebastian; sister of Rebecca Goff and Brenda Liberto. Cathy is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends including her friends and family at the Baltimore Towing Company. Cathy is preceded in death by her siblings Mary and Gilbert, her husband William Gilliam, Sr. and her grandson Shylow Andrew Gilliam. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

 A viewing will be held at Ambrose Funeral Home, 1328 Sulphur Spring Road, Halethorpe, MD 21227 on Saturday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm with a funeral service taking place at 4pm.
