Carolyn Abercrombie

Carolyn Evans Abercrombie passed away on February 28, 2018. She was 102. Born on a farm in Somerset County, she graduated in the first B.S. class from Salisbury State Teachers College. She taught at Baltimore Highlands Elementary School before raising a family. She was preceded in death by her husband Andrew J. Abercrombie and her brother William H. Evans. She is survived by her daughter Marianne E. Abercrombie and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family members and friends will honor Carolyn’s life at the family owned and operated AMBROSE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1328 Sulphur Spring Rd., Arbutus, MD 21227 with a public viewing on Monday from 3-5pm & 7-9pm. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at Hope Presbyterian Church, 4748 Shelbourne Rd., Arbutus, MD 21227 beginning at 11am. Interment private.
