Barbara Ann Fahey, formerly of Virginia Beach, Virginia, passed away on May 20, 2021 in Catonsville, Maryland at the Charlestown Community. Born on February 12, 1926 in Jenkintown, PA, Barbara was a military spouse whose travels took her to Germany when the Berlin Wall was erected in 1961 and to locations up and down the East Coast. She faced life with a sense of humor, the joys of raising a family, and loving her spouse for 76 years.
Barbara was an award-winning Virginia Beach Watercolorist, Author (including children's verses) and member of various Virginia Beach clubs. She helped anyone in need and had a giving heart and cheerful personality. She was a parishioner at St. Nicholas Catholic Church for 47 years. Barbara was featured in the Virginia Beach Beacon in February 2001 and was asked various questions about herself. The last question was: "What would you like as your epitaph?” She said "To make a difference." And that she did! Many lives were touched by this amazing woman.
