Anthony J. ‘Tony’ Malat, Jr., age 94, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2015. Tony is preceded in death by his loving wife Nevida ‘Joann’ Malat and his siblings Joe Malat, Marie Muellar, Rose Weber, Frank Malat, Larry Malat, and Richard Malat. Tony is the devoted father of Kathy Russell and her late husband Mike, Patty Young and her husband Steve, Mary Bailey, and Nevida ‘Toinette’ Kiss and her husband Frank; dear grandfather of Anthony Russell, Chris Russell, Lauren Russell, and Miranda Jefferson; caring great grandfather of Alissa Russell; cherished sibling of John Malat, David Malat, Michael Malat, and Diana Hughes.
A viewing will be held at Ambrose Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. on Thursday, May 28th from 11am-1pm followed by a funeral service at 1pm. Interment at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may to be in Tony’s memory to Catholic Charities of Baltimore, Caritas House, 3308 Benson Ave., Baltimore, MD 21227.
