Amy Leaf

Amy Leaf (nee Lester) was called home on January 9, 2022. She was 67. Amy was raised in Halethorpe, MD. She came from a big family and was one of six close knit siblings. She graduated from Lansdowne High School in 1972 and had many dear friends from her class. She attended University of Maryland-College Park and earned two degrees. In 1982, she married Louie Leaf who is a native Mohawk. She honored his culture and loved her connection to Native Americans. She was a dedicated employee of C.A. Lindman for many years before retiring. Amy was an avid gardener, committed to fitness, and adored her family. She was a valued and active member of her church. Amy believed in fairness and equality. She was a free spirit who loved unconditionally.

Born on March 26th, 1954 to the late Joan Patricia and late Thomas E. Lester, Sr., she was the loving wife of Louie Leaf; dear sister of Trinita Duncan and late husband, Richard, Wanda Hartley and husband Jonathan, the late Thomas Lester, Jr. and wife, Dot, Patrick Lester and late wife, Laurie, Bonnie Coughlin and husband Scott; cherished aunt of Rich Duncan, Elizabeth Hartley, Tim Duncan, Zach Hartley, Samantha Lester, Thomas Lester, III, Kathleen Skeen, Leah Melton, Brennan Lester, Donovan Lester, Felicity Coughlin, and Ethan Coughlin.

A celebration of life for Amy is being held February 5th from 1-5 PM at the Arbutus Town Hall located at 1349 Steven Avenue Arbutus, MD 21227. In lieu of flowers donations should be made to New Antioch Baptist Church of Randallstown, PO Box 386, Randallstown, MD 21133.
